As a woman was on her way out of the grocery store, her cart laden with groceries, she was approached by a couple of children selling chocolate bars as part of a school fund raiser.
She happened to be on a diet, but wanted to support the school club, so as she handed them the money, she told the children, “I’ll buy one chocolate bar.”
The boy took her money and handed her the candy bar as she continued. “…on one condition,” she said. “You have to eat it for me.” And she handed the candy back to the boy.
He put his hands up and shook his head. “I can’t,” he said.
Looking her directly in the eye, he responded seriously, “I’m not supposed to take candy from strangers.”
