Just let her know that you are thinking of her, and are there for her if she wants to talk!

What a beautiful and realistic take you have on building a life together in marriage. Having experienced long, unpleasant relationships in each of our first marriages, we never expected to find the peace, joy and exhilaration of the life we have together in this marriage. A happy marriage is a true blessing and to make the commitment to a loving caring is an unbelievable gift from God!

I did read an somewhere a couple months ago (tried searching, but find it and remember where it was) that said people who are alike are most likely to have successful, lasting marriages. It is really great to see a couple reaching their 50th wedding anniversary, especially in today’s world where almost every one out of two marriages fail.

My parents were high school and just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary over the summer. Their love for each other has been a gift to us all. I have been accused of only remembering the good times from outsiders, but after they hear the same from my brother and meet my folks – they have become believers in my magic. Cheers to family values and honoring commitments.
