Three friends were out in a boat on a lake, fishing. They wanted to smoke, but they realized they hadn’t taken any matches or anything with which to light their smokes.

“I got it!” said one of the guys, as he threw one of his cigarettes overboard.

“Why did you do that?” asked his buddy, obviously irritated.

“To make the boat a little lighter,” was the reply.

I am very proud to say that over the past year, I’ve talked three friends down from the emoprog ledge. They are much happier now.

Saw a truck with a big cardboard check in the front seat made out to the “American Cancer Society.” Cancer patients have all the luck. :(

Can we please stop differentiating between “smoking cessation” and “substituting for smoking”.

The antis are confusing the sitution by using the term “smoking cessation” when what they mean is “nicotine cessation.” We are forced to be meticulously precise to defend against FDA accusations that e-cigarettes are intended to be used for medical purposes. When the vendors say “E-cigarettes can help you stop smoking,” the FDA chooses to interpret that as “E-cigarettes can help you overcome your addiction to nicotine.”

I hope I meet a bunch of new people this year. I would feel so much better knowing that I had more than three friends.
