A few years ago we were desperately trying to sell our house, which was situated on a busy thoroughfare. Our real estate agent decided to have open-house inspection nearly every day to promote the sale. We instructed the children not to talk to anyone about the house.
As a woman was on her way out of the grocery store, her cart laden with groceries, she was approached by a couple of children selling chocolate bars as part of a school fund raiser.
She happened to be on a diet, but wanted to support the school club, so as she handed them the money, she told the children, “I’ll buy one chocolate bar.”
One day, there was a blind man sitting on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet and a sign that read: “I am blind, please help.”
A creative publicist was walking by and stopped to observe. He saw that the blind man had only a few coins in his hat. He dropped in more coins and, without asking for permission, took the sign and rewrote it.
